{Featured Clients} Me & Riley - Luau Party from Dubai

Spring is right around the corner and that means fun, festive outdoor parties.
This party is beyond fun and festive!

Emma of Me & Riley, a Dubai U.A.E based event planning company, sent us photos from her gorgeous event that she recently planned.

If you haven't visted Me & Riley's site, you should! They do amazing parties and I love to see the different ways that other countries style their parties. There are lots of similarities to parties in the U.S but some of the details can't go unnoticed! You will see what I mean.... Eye candy below!

Me & Riley also has a very sound ethical policy where they attempt to go the most environmentally friendly route. I love their use of wooden utensils! Definitely check out their site!

Beautiful hanging decor, beautiful seating arrangements and table setup...

Here is the invitation that they sent out to their guests (available in the shop)

Precious totes!

Look at this beautiful cake!

I love the pillows around the table. I think I need to do that at my next party! So festive and colorful. I think this is a gorgeous party setting!

Definitely check out Me & Riley contemporary events site. Loads of inspiration!
We love working with international clients because they inspire us in so many new ways!
Oh, and on a side not - check out this photo from an Airplane themed party that we designed placemats for.

Thank you for sharing, Emma!

{Client Party} - Ayden Airlines Boarding Pass

Ayden's Airlines Welcomes You!

Destination:

Luau Pool Party

A creative client of ours, Sara, decided to throw a Luau this summer!

As the guests arrived, Sara made a super cute sign to lead them to the party.

The Birthday girl, Ayden, arrived safe and sound with all her traveling boyfriends!

The leis, plates and birthday candles matched the invite & water bottle just perfectly!

Sara also made a handmade banner to match the party details!

She layered her party logos on glitter craft paper and tied on with satin ribbon!

The birthday girl just loved her birthday cake!

Check out the matching items Sara used:
Fun Party Logos, Water Bottle Wraps and a Matching Thank you

Thanks Sara for sharing this festive party with us!

{Featured Clients} Megan's Luau Pool Party

Erin plans parties to the max, just like we do! That is probably why I loved working with her so much. You just have to check out her blog! She has a couple blogs, actually. Haute Dates (a party blog) and Haute Plates (A recipe blog). She recently had a Mad Hatter Tea Party that was over the top!

So, onto the Luau Party details. Her daughter, Megan, was turning 7 and wanted to have a pool party for her birthday. A pool party it was! Just wait til you see the cute details.

We designed the invitation for her and lots of coordinating items to tie the party together, graphically speaking.

Erin did an awesome job of making her backyard a backyard beach! Look at all of her decorations!

We designed a logo for her to use for signs around the party and the way she matted them on those bright colored fans - so cute! She used fabric poms, paper lanterns, mylar palm trees and my favorite - ruffled crepe paper streamers!

She explains how to do those in her blog... Sew 2 colors of crepe paper together using the highest tension and longest stitch length. Sounds easy and fun! (Wish I had a girl to do it for!!!!)

Now check out the cute little girls at the party! How happy do they look!?
Erin's details are so creative. She made blue jello with gummy fish floating!

She filled the pool with rings and dolphins and played a game like Musical Chairs in the water! How creative! (I want to play!) Check out her door decor. She used the logo we designed again for the door hanger motif.

We designed party logos for her luau and she used them throughout the party. One great place to use them is on CUPS. I love buying solid colored cups and decorating them with cute personalized and coordinating logos!

Another creative (and cheap) way to add excitement to the party is by using fun coordinating water bottle and drink wraps. I swear, I will never put out a water bottle w/o wrapping it with something cuter than a typical Aquafina or deer park wrap!

On to the yummy food. Check out the dessert table that Erin put together. Just wait til you see closer. She served Starburst, Rainbow Sherbet, Chocolate "Beach" Cupcakes, Pina Colada Cupcakes, Otter Pops and Swedish Fish.
We designed sweet personalized food labels for her and you see them throughout the table. Do you see her tiered cake stand. She MADE it. Check out her blog to see more details on it!
Look at the adorable cupcakes! Pina Colada cupcakes (with cupcake toppers, of course!) Look at the chocolate beach cupcakes! Water and sand and a cute little lifesaver looking candy! AHH! So adorable. She served Pina Coladas (well, coconut smoothies, actually) - so yummy!

Erin took the time to make a really thoughtful favor. She appliqued pink t-shirts with a striped bikini for each little friend. What a great coverup that makes. I've said it once and I'll say it again - I love favors that people actually use!

Thanks, Erin (and Megan!) for sharing such a beautiful party! It looks like everyone had a wonderful day.

{DIY} Luau Cupcake Idea

These are definitely not any ordinary cupcakes....
(not that anything is ordinary from Bakerella!)

We have been getting a lot of orders for our luau invitations, and so when we saw these posted on Danielle's AFOMT blog (who spotted them on Bakerella), we knew we had to share them with you! They are pineapple cupcakes with mango frosting!

Check out bakerella's site and she gives full instructions on how to make these beauties.

Pair those cupcakes with either of these luau invitations... This boarding pass invitation...

or these luau invitations... from our shop!

Decorate with a custom personalized flip flop banner (new style added to the shop)... and you have yourself in hawaiian paradise!

Aren't they just so cute and unique! Great job, again, Bakerella!
