{New to the shop} Holiday Gift Tags for Sweet and Saucy Shop

I am SURE you have seen us write about Sweet and Saucy Shop. Melody Brandon, the owner of Sweet and Saucy Shop, is one of the most talented dessert/cake artists I have seen! Her work is beautiful, unique and perfect in every way!

We connected with Melody and started a project to design gift tags for her shop. We created some really fun designs to reflect the home-y/warm feeling that Melody wanted to convey in her shop this holiday season.

Here are some photos of the tags that Melody took...

Thanks so much for the great pics, Melody!

Printable gift tags are available in our shop!

{Straight from the studio} The Anders Family Holiday Card

We have been busy, busy, busy here at Anders Ruff this holiday season! I finally was able to make time to create a custom holiday card for my family! I sent these out on the 15th.... at least they weren't late! ;-)

I am loving hang tags this season, so I thought it would be a great way to send off a holiday card, too! This is a 5x7 hang tag design...

I also created an address wrap label that had the friend/family member's address/name and the backside had a return address seal that coordinates with the front side monogram seal.
I had our professional printer print these (front and backside - the backside has a photo of Cotton, our dog, and the vintage diamond pattern edge to edge.)

I used my big stack paper cutter to cut off the edges to make it the "tag shape". (Hint - if you ever need something done in bulk - Kinkos and local printers have stack cutters that can cut your paper for you!) Thank heavens for my stack cutter - saved me a ton of time.

I then punched a hole in the top red circle and used twine (From The Cupcake Social!) to add the loop at the top.

Here is a pic of the card hanging on our tree....
Not that I expect family or friends to hang these on their trees! Just thought it was cute!

Happy Holidays to all of our fabulous fans, clients and followers!
XOXO
Maureen Anders

{DIY} Reindeer & Candy Cane Crafts

{DIY} Reindeer & Candy Cane Crafts

So, we came across this cute kids craft idea we want to share with you from Amazing Moms.

Looking for a fun Christmas craft to do with your kids?

Well who doesn’t like Santa’s Reindeer? This is an easy and cute craft to do with little kids. It is a reindeer pot that can hold candy or other treats! You can make any size that you want. All that you will need is scissors, craft glue, Terracotta clay pots (2”-5”), plastic eyes, red pom-poms, and two shades of brown craft foam or construction paper. Now that you know what you need, here is how you make it!

First, with one shade of brown, cut the antlers to match the size of your pot. (It is fun to use your child’s hand print as the pattern for the antlers!)
Then, cut the ears with the other brown.
Attach their ears to the back of the pot, and then add the antlers.
Glue the eyes and nose to the front,
Finally, fill the pot with candy, nuts or other goodies!

It is that simple!

Another fun craft to make is Candy Cane Ornaments!

This is a unique craft that is very easy!

All you need is 13 old puzzle pieces [maybe ones from a puzzle that is missing some pieces], glue, ribbon, red and white paint, and a bell!

First, paint the puzzle pieces on one side and let it dry, then do the other side. [In the example they painted 6 pieces red and 7 pieces white.]

Then, place the white pieces in the shape of a candy cane a little spaced out.

After that, glue the red pieces over lapping the white ones. [like it is in the photo]

Once it is dry, cut a piece of ribbon, loop it, and glue it to one side of the candy cane. Also, cut another piece of ribbon to make into a bow, and glue it as seen in the picture above.

Finally, glue the bell down and your ornament is complete!

We found this craft at Family Crafts.

{Featured Client Parties} Snow Flake Princess Party!

Shannon, an extremely crafty and creative client of ours, sent us photographs from her daughter's 3rd birthday party. Her theme was a Snowflake Princess party. I love the color scheme of red and aqua - so unique and something different from traditional pink princess parties. Winter parties can sometimes be difficult to plan, but Shannon nailed this one!

The Snowflake Princess is a perfect theme for this time of year!

Here is the invitation design that we created custom for her....
I am loving the "G" (for Grace) out of jingle bells that she placed next to the framed invitation!

I love the beautiful wreath that Shannon displayed with a logo in the center!
Check out the adorable banner of photos that Shannon created. You can see the favors on top of the mantle, too. I notice DETAIL! Check out how the presents are even wrapped in the coordinating colors!Check out the ADROABLE table and place settings that Shannon styled. Those white feather trees as center pieces are gorgeous. I love the banner, too!
Here is another shot of the table....
....and check out that CAKE!
Shannon made everything herself!!!!

Here is an up close shot of the table settings... I am LOVING the detail! The adorable napkins wrapped with beautiful snowflakes.... layered plates, cute favor cracker with a doily and monogram..... the details are so perfect!

I LOVE the English cracker place cards! Shannon saw it on our sweet party planning friend, Kate Landers site. They are toilet paper rolls that you put goodies inside, wrap with tissue and wrap around with cute paper and embelish away! Tie ribbon on the sides and done! So adorable!
Shannon made these cookies, too!

Shannon even made the birthday girl her OWN cake. LOVE this ribbon ruffle cake! The topper is gorgeous, too!

It creativity doesn't stop there.... with this being a Snow Flake Princess party, Shannon created these princess wands! I love the bell, ribbon and snowflake! SUCH a creative idea. She used dowel rods to create these.... I bet the kids were in LOVE!

Check out the precious sweets table - Shannon made all the goodies! I want some of that Red Velvet! YUM!

ADORABLE treats and sweets table....
Cookies all bagged up, sealed with party logos and ready for the guests!
Look at the adorable favors that the guests left with. Snowman Soup! (The perfect mix to create a yummy hot cocoa!)

I love this party! Thank you so much, Shannon, for sharing your talents with us! I know your daughter had a very special day that she will always appreciate!

{From our Studio} Vintage Holiday Collection

**Special Note: All of our holiday printable collections are on sale! Prices in our Etsy shop reflect the sale price. Please pop over to Anders Ruff on Etsy and spread the word!

So today we are sharing more in depth photos from our Vintage Holiday Printable Collection.
We loved showing the client photos {from yesterday}, and want to give you a few more ideas on how to utilize the Vintage Holiday Printable Collection.
Again we want to thank the fabulous Becca Bond for photographing our collection and capturing all the details in such an amazing way!

Some key accessories/details that we mixed with the printables:

- One of the main accessories that we used throughout the designing process and to accessorize with were Shiny Brite ornaments (new & antique Christmas ornaments). We put them in tall glass topiaries and also hung them from an old-fashioned white feather tree. These types of ornaments are what inspired our entire design collection!

- We used several small aqua and cream feather trees for our dining table, as well as Mercury glass topiaries and German glass glittered accents throughout (such as the dessert table wreath, and gift packages).

-We wanted to showcase our candycanes in surprising ways, so we put them in antique candle holders as well as hung them from a white wooden wine rack.

-On the table you will notice true antique silver glittery linens, mixed in with our modern day china. The feather trees and topiaries are displayed on an old white cabinet door to give various heights and interest.

- Everyday white serving platters were used for dessert displays (Food labels in the DIY package used to designate each food item). We also lined the buffet table with wrapping paper and hung customized (to match this collection) Christmas stockings (by Chicmommybags)

- We lined the serving platters with chocolate coated sunflower seeds and craft Itsy beads to add color and contrast

- We purchased grosgrain fabric in a pink/red/green/blue striped pattern (placed it on the bias on an oversized artist canvas) to add a bold statement to the dessert table backdrop.

- We dressed up our dining chairs by adding pink satin ribbons with our garland snowflake logo.

- We showed unique packaging/decorating methods for favor boxes, wine bottles, soda pop bottles and personalized them with printed favor tags, hangtags and party logos.

The printable graphic design package includes:
The printable package includes over $275 retail of graphic designs:
