{Happy Mother's Day} by Kiss Me Kate

I'm a very happy mother to two boys. I'd be an even happier mom on Mother's Day if I was greeted by this beautiful Mother's Day dessert table by Kate of Kiss Me Kate!

If you haven't seen on facebook, we announced that we are collaborating with Kiss Me Kate (a super talented duo from Australia) on some beautiful projects. Stay tuned for more news on that!

For now, I just wanted to share the photos that Kate shared. She is so talented!
She used our Free Printable Mother's Day Collection!
I love how her table turned out... The mums at her celebration were surely happy with the beautiful desserts!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Can you say beautiful?!

I love how she trimmed the tag border to make an apothecary jar label....
Simply gorgeous...

Happy Mother's Day to my own mom... and to all of our fans, clients and supporters!

{Straight from the Studio} A {Winter} Wonderland

It is bitter cold in Charlotte, NC, today. Not nearly as cold as it is in other places; however, it’s cold for us. The one thing I am missing is a bit of snow, because winter just isn’t winter without some white stuff. (Just a smidge, mind you!)

There is still a lot of time after the holidays to host an open house or throw a party and what better a theme than a winter wonderland! Anders Ruff Custom Designs has created The Printable Winter Wonderland Design Collection (which, by the way, is 50% off through December 15th). A focus on silvers, blues and whites makes this table feel elegant, festive and light. With silver being a very popular tone at this time of year, this collection is both versatile and something that will be in style for years to come. In addition to our Winter Wonderland design collection, we created free printables that coordinate with this collection (included are party logos, recipe cards and food tags).

Our backdrop is a white on white striped fabric with silver woven threads which we adorned with mica glittered snowflake ornaments. We used silver stripe wrapping paper to cover the walls to the left and right of the table to add interest.

The focal point of the table is a glittered pine cone tree, to give off the look of a fresh snowfall.

Smaller gift boxes that were layered with patterned paper and silver sparkly ribbon sat in front of each of the “height” boxes. We wanted the table to feel like it was full of gifts, while displaying the desserts in a clean and classy manner.

We printed a “Let It Snow” banner and wove through silver ribbon and pale blue ric rac.

Modern glass VOSS bottled waters were decorated with festive printable wraps. (We loved the silver lid to those bottles!)

Silver serving platters with rhinestone edge detail were lined with our patterned papers to bring in the blue tones from the collection.

Miniature chocolate bars were wrapped in our printable mini candy bar wrappers.

Wine bottles bottles wrapped with our printed favor tag/label were embellished with silver cording and logos from our collection.

The back row of the dessert table held square dishes with “ric rac” edging.

We also show a photograph of the table with a unique favor or gift item from Persona Gift Pail.

{Free Printable} "You've Been Elfed" Door Signs and Instructions

Aime, a fabulous reader of ours, sent us the CUTEST poem to use when "Elfing" this year. We had such a great response from our free BOO signs and instructions that we decided to go ahead and create a free printable "Elfing" Set!

In case you didn't know...
Elfing=Boo'ing but at Christmas time and with Christmas gifts/goodies

and in case you didn't know what "Boo'ing" is....

Basically Boo'ing is "Reverse trick-or-treating." Basically you fill a basket or bag with goodies, toys or anything festive for Halloween and leave it on the front doorstep of a friend or neighbor. You must include a "door sign" and "poem/instructions" so that the recipient knows what this is there for and how to pass long the favor. The recipient will place the door sign on their front door to let others know that they have had a turn being "boo'ed". Then the recipient gets a turn at this. Pretty soon the whole neighborhood is filled w/ homes with doors that have the signs up!

So... "ELFING" is the same thing! What a fun time of year and a great way to show our friends and neighbors that we care for them!

We designed 2 "We've Been Elfed" Door Signs and an instructions poem letter as well..

Door signs...
