{Featured Clients} CHOO CHOO All Aboard!!

Choo Choo, Isaac is 2!
Train parties are SO popular and most little boys want "Thomas".
Well, Isaac's mom, Megan, thought outside the box and used our
modern train printable package to accessorize her son's train party.
Megan is a teacher so her attention to detail is great!

She shared photos of Isaac's party with us and I'm really excited to share!

I just love the REAL rainroad crossing sign. The sign was borrowed from someone who worked for the rainroad. What a cool sign to see as the guests came to the door!

First off, how CUTE are Megan's little boys? (I love "brother" pictures since I have 2 boys of my own.... ) What little heart breakers....
Here is the invitation that was sent out to the guests.... Megan used the party logo and printed on sticker paper to make stickers for the invitation envelope...

Cute door signs welcome the guests...

Loving the adorable photo of Isaac next to his tiered cupcake display...

Printables make it really easy to find plates and napkins! Find a coordinating solid colored set and dress it all up with your printables.

These water bottles look so cute with the printable wrapper... and I LOVE that they are the sports cap type! (no spills!)

Coordinating green and blue candies for the guests to take on their way out....

Favor tags attached to cookies for the guests....

Thanks so much for sharing, Megan!
I know your train loving boys and their friends had a blast!

The modern train collection is now available in our shop....

We have changed a few tiny things in the package and hope you all like!
Modern Train is available
both in the blues and green color scheme and the red and blue color scheme!
(Both perfect for a Thomas party!)

{Featured Clients} - Trains and more Trains

Allison, a super sweet client of ours, recently hired us to create her son's birthday invitation. Hayden loves trains, so she chose the color blocking style train invitation to set the tone for her son's birthday party. She chose the colorway shown below... red and blues. She did a great job of using those colors throughout the party.

We show lots of colorways in our shop, and are always open to customizing any colors you want!

Now, on to sharing photos from her party.

Allison had us design a couple party logos to use throughout her party. Below: (bottom left) - she used the party logo on a door sign that she made. Below: (Top right) - she has the menu for the dining car that she framed. She adorned it with the party logo, to tie everything together. You can see in the bouncy house photo (train shaped!) that she made a sign for the little play house (Hayden Depot) as well. So adorable. Her tables all look so nice and coordinate with the rest of the party (reds and blues).

Below are some more views at the party. The cake (below - bottom left) looks adorable and I always love when people display their invitation at the party! ;-)
For her favors, Allison had us design luggage tags that she printed/cut/laminated and hung from the gift bags. I love how she displayed them - so adorable!
Here is a closer view at what the graphic luggage tag looks like that we design from our shop. We can personalize the front and backside, or whatever you need. Allison had us format the child's name on front and their mom's phone number on back. Everyone can use luggage tags - school bags, lunch boxes, gym bags, etc... a great way to personalize a favor and make it reusable!
Here is a photo from the party with the birthday boy and Allison's family. Allison had us design some fun things for her little 2 year old's upcoming party,... hopefully we will be able to share photos from that as well. Isn't her family so adorable!?

One last glimpse at the birthday boy before and after the party. Looks like this was one fun party! ;-)
Thanks for sharing, Allison!

{Featured Clients} All Aboard the Choo Choo Train!

One of our fabulous customers, Amy, graciously shared photos from her son's 3rd birthday party. She used our train birthday party package along with some extra graphic designs that we custom designed for her.

Here is the invitation style that she used. She had asked us to change colors from our sample we have in our shop. We swatch matched the colors from her party ware that she had already purchased.
Her son is adorable- like a little model!

She actually hired a party train to come take the kids around! How fun that must have been.

We designed a custom birthday banner, which she hung over the windows in the party room.

She had us design lots of logos with her son's photos, and you will see those throughout the party. I like her little banner she hung over the fireplace....

Here is a shot of her cakes. She told me the story about her cake fiasco and it sounds quite stressful! I think the cakes turned out adorable! The colors match her party scheme perfectly.
She stuck the cupcake toppers in the little trains and on the cake itself. She used some with photographs of her son, and some with the train logo we designed.

Here is a shot of her favor bags - we designed little favor tags to be used and she creatively made them 2 sided with a photo of her son on the other side.

Here is a closeup of what her favor tag looked like:

Her table looked so coordinated and I love how she hung the photo logos of her son over top from the lighting fixture!

We also designed some water bottle wraps to go with her scheme (not shown in the photos)

For Amy's party, the train birthday party package had everything she needed to style a perfect train party - it seems like it was a perfect fit!

Great job on the party, Amy!

{Straight From The Studio} New DIY party packages on our site!

We have had a great response to our "Do it yourself party packages" that we introduced to our shop.

We have the two train packages, a circus/carnival package, sports package, bee day package and now, Alice in Wonderland package.

Check them out! A very economical way to do a fully coordinating party!

A fully customized Train Package includes everything you need to coordinate a fabulous choo-choo party. That includes fully customized items -invitation, thank you note, water bottle wrap, napkin/partyware wrap, party logo, 4 cupcake toppers, address label and favor tag!

On an even tighter budget? We have a DIY Train Package without customization. Still a great option!

Then, we have the sports themed package:

This one has my heart bee-cause I spent hours planning "Pierson's First Bee Day" last year. This fully custom "bee" day package was inspired by that party:

My favorite set, the circus set (I am bound and determined to have a circus party for my boys one year!) We had an amazing client send us her photos from her event. She did everything custom, though!

and the awesome new Alice and Wonderland DIY package!

We hope you enjoy!

I would LOVE to hear from you about what packages you would like see us offer!

{Our Parties} Trains, Planes and Automobiles - A Transportation Birthday Party

Party Planning Central

I have an engineering background (crazy, I know) and so I am type A in a lot of ways - which helps with the need for being detail oriented for a party plan.

A few things I always do for my parties:
1) I like my invitation to set the tone for the party - everything from the theme, colors and "feel" of the invitation will help me decide how to decorate, what activities to do and what PAPER products to have ;-) (most importantly)

2) I like to use elements from the invitation to make logos, favor tags, stickers, food tents, cookie seals, envelope seals, etc.
At AndersRuff.Etsy.Com we sell a custom logo to match your invitation. That logo can be used for all of those elements in a really simple way!

3) Logos are GREAT for favor tags. See my example in the photos below. Its a great way to personalize your party and make it really special, all while tying in to the theme and feel of the party!

3) Thank you note - I always tie in the thank you note with the party. I pull out key elements from the invitation and put it with my child's name personalized on it. I also like to use the logo as a sticker seal on the back of the envelope, or printed on the envelope itself!

So hold on to your hats, lots of photos to come.... I mainly am showing how I used printed logos/personalized paper products to tie the party together. I may have thrown in a few cute pics too... ;-)

This example shows how to utilize our invitations/logos and thank you notes through AndersRuff.Etsy.Com to make a perfectly flowing party! This was my son, Pierson's 2nd transportation birthday party.

Here is the logo that I used on my invitation as well as throughout the party.

Used a version of the logo on my envelope to send out the invitations:

Thank you note: (paired this note with a chartreuse envelope and sealed the envelope with a LOGO sticker!)

here I used the logo elements to print out luggage tags to tie on the favors.

Again, I easily printed the logos on stickers and put them on the cups for guests to drink the "petro punch" out of.
Cups

We also used the logo on a little sticker that I put on the "airline boxed lunches". It had a description of the type of croissant sandwich inside. (Ham, turkey, tuna)

Inside the box lunch was a bag of chips, croissant sandwich and a fruit cup. On top of the fruit cup, guess what was on the lid? You guessed it - a party logo!

Logos could also be used for food cards/tents. In this case, I didn't use the exact logo because I had a punch that I used, but I would have used the logo had I thought of it!
"ships ahoy" cookies:
Train Track Trail mix

Junk yard (cake, cookies and other sweets) - again you could use your logo at the top of the cake!

Again, the logo was used for the cookie wrap to seal the top of the bag.

Here is my little birthday boy. Yes, I appliqued a little jon jon that I made. Yes, I am anal. Yes, his car does match the car on his logo. I am showing off now,... sorry.

Bye for now! ;-)

Bonus round - here are some fun things I did for the party:

Baggage Claim (favor pickup)

Cake

Lastly,
Meet the RUFFS! Sweet little Grayce didn't want to be photographed that day but you can just see how stinkin adorable her family is!
.. and meet the ANDERS.... You can tell we are all pretty wiped out! Peanut especially (Peanut is Pierson's nickname)
