{DIY} Ice Cream Cone Cake Pops.... What!?

If you haven't already noticed, I have a sweet tooth! When I saw these on one of my favorite blogs, Bakerella, I knew I had to share.

After attempting ice cream cone cupcakes for Jeffrey's 5th blue/green pool party, I realized that they really looked a lot better than they tasted. If you haven't ever made cupcakes inside ice cream cones, the thing you will learn is that those "already stale" tasting cake cones taste even more stale after baking in a 375 degree oven for another 25 minutes. The cream cheese frosting and actual cake tastes wonderful, but that cute cone tastes like, well... rubbish! They looked cute, though... right!?

Instead, I should have thought of THIS idea.... cake pops inside cupcake cones. Bakerella, you are genius!

Inside is a delicious cake pop center (if you don't know what a cake pop, get researching on bakerella's blog.... they are adorable and delish!)
I mean, could that be any cuter?

I can see cake pop ice cream cones in my future (or my childrens' parties' future!)

{Fabulous Finds} A New Obsession...

My serious obsession (is still Amy Atlas, of course... ) is.... Bakerella!

Have you heard of her? She makes the most wonderful looking desserts. I am dying to try her cake pops. They look so cute (and yummy!) and there are so many ways to customize them to coordinate with your party theme.

Here are some of my favorites from her site... How perfect would the bees have been for Pierson's 1st Bee Day.

I am totally going to make these for Halloween....
Or what about a doggie party!?

If I had a baby girl, Hello Kitty would for sure be one of her party themes... and so these would be PERFECT!
and next order of business to tackle.. macaron pops!!! So many lovely ideas. Thanks, Bakerellafor the wonderful inspirations! These blue macaron pops would have been great for Jeffrey's Pool Party!
