{Dream} a little dream....

Maureen and Adria are in New York City today at Martha Stewart's "Dreamers Into Doers" event. I wonder what they are doing right now?! Are they chatting with Courtney Dial of Pizzazzerie? Are they trading tips with Kim Stoegbaeur of The TomKat Studio? Are they meeting....MARTHA??? I know that we will hear (and read) all about their trip on Facebook and right here on the blog when they return.

Typically I write up a party to post; however, today, I wanted to share with you one of the most imaginative blogs I have had the privilege of reading, Mila's Daydreams. Mila's mother, Adele, in her own words..."This is my maternity leave hobby. While my baby is taking her nap, I try to imagine her dream and capture it." As I try to imagine what fabulous things Maureen and Adria are up to in the Big Apple, take a peek at what Adele imagines her sweet baby Mila is dreaming of...

Of course all of these photographs are superb. Which one is your favorite? Mine is the baby bunny...

Thank you Adele, for sharing with us your amazing pictures of Mila.

{Featured Client Parties} A Baby Shoe Shower!

A fabulously talented client of ours, Erin, contacted us to work on a baby shower that she was styling. I thought the idea was so adorable and we happily took on the custom project. Erin wanted to stick with pink, orange and brown and her event turned out so adorable! I'm really excited to share the photos from her shower. Erin is an amazing baker and made some really sweet sugar cookies... just wait to see!

Erin loves patterns (just like I do!) so I incorporated lots of variations of the patterns with sweet little baby shoes. I think it is a super sweet invitation (and would be great in other colorways, too!) (info changed to protect privacy) The invitation is now available in our shop!

She also had us design a registry enclosure card (cute and useful touch!) (photo below not to scale - this enclosure was a little bigger than a business card)

We also designed custom party logos, water wraps, food labels and more for Erin's event....

Look at the adorable tissue wreath that Erin created. She hung a party logo from the inside of the wreath...

Here is the dessert table. I love how she created faux-roman shades out of coordinating fabric! What a dramatic and adorable backdrop that made!
Don't you just love the initial as part of the centerpiece of the dessert table!? (The baby's name is going to be Brynlee)...
Here is a closeup of the roman shades to coordinate (PERFECTLY!)
Erin also used the logos scaled down to create hershey kisses labels. SO adorable! (Details, details, details!)
Here is a shot of the custom water bottle wraps....
Erin served lemonade champagne and rimmed the glasses with pink sugar. MMM!
Doesn't her display look so beautiful!?
I love how she filled the vase with oranges on the favor table to coordinate with the color scheme.
She used the custom logos to personalize each favor box....
and HERE are the cookies I was referring to. Erin made these adorable baby shoe cookies with fondant buttons. You can't beat a good sugar cookie favor. Totally ties together the event and looks scrumptious!

Erin did an awesome job. I am so impressed! Thanks for sharing, Erin!
Check out Erin's blog to see some her other creative projects! (She does some amazing cookies!)

Inspired to host your own shoe baby shower? All of the graphic designs are available in our shop!

{Oh Baby!}

Maureen and Adria (the creative ones) have asked me to join their team and post for their blog a few days per week. I wish I were as creative as Maureen (Martha) Anders and Adria (Martha Jr.) Ruff; however, I would consider myself Carrie (Martha VI) Kane. Anyhow, I look forward to sharing with you some of my fun finds, favorite things, yummy recipes, DIY (Do-It-Yourself) ideas, etc. etc. (along with a bit of spunk on the side).

So this weekend I am invited to a baby shower. I have not thought about baby things for oh, about eight years. My two boys are eight and eleven, and Game Stop and iCarly are two of my favorite things (she said sarcastically), although iCarly isn’t too bad, but I digress. So back to shopping for the baby gift. I wanted to find something unique yet practical and I found it! The Original Baby Briefcase ® from Organized from the Start. Here is the picture I took before I wrapped it:

The idea behind this cute little invention is that it is designed to neatly store all of your baby’s paperwork, from the immunization records to the Social Security card, to a few of your extra, super cute birth announcements from Anders Ruff!
I will not know any of the mom’s at this shower (other than my former colleague, who is the one having the baby girl) and I am kind of hoping we don’t have to play any games. Have you heard of pass the poopy diaper? I guess it’s like musical chairs, but people pass around a diaper filled with a scoop of hot fudge. Well, whatever the hostesses decide, I will put on my party hat and dive in…just hopefully not in to the poopy diaper.

{Giveaway} Free Patemm ($68 Value) - As seen on Oprah!

Adria and I have major entrepreneurial spirit, so when we heard about Patemm and the story behind the invention/business, we were overly inspired. We knew that most of our clients and readers were moms, too, and so we were so excited when we got the opportunity to do a giveaway for one of these fabulous Patemm pads!

If you haven't already joined the rage, Patemm pads are the most innovative design in baby changing pad accessories. They are smart, practical and stylish - everything a mommy needs! A round design (genius) to accommodate those little busy body babies who don't want to stay on a narrow rectangular changing pad, coupled with the circumference inner pocket to tuck diapers/wipes in.... this design became popular at record speed.

Grace, the owner/founder/mom inventor of Patemm, has been featured on Oprah's famous show about "mom's who have made millions"! What a huge accomplishment. The press has been amazing - Patemm has been all over TV, radio and magazines. People, Real Simple, you name it!

Grace's story is what really inspired us! She, like many new moms, had that desire to work after having her children, but didn't want to return to the corporate world where a boss dictated her schedule and her life around family. Starting her own business seemed like the best solution.

She was discussing potential business ideas with her sister (while multitasking and changing a diaper at the same time). Her sister had been suggesting that a good business solves a problem. In the time it took to change her daughter, she found her genius business venture: a round diaper changing pad!

Founded in San Francisco in 2004, she named her invention (Patemm Pads) after her first two kids who inspired the product: Patrick and Emma.

The company has grown and grown. I just love the prints and colors that Patemm offers. What a perfect baby shower gift this would be!

Patemm has a variety of materials - from Certified Organic Cotton, to Laminated and Regular Machine Washable Cotton. You just have to check out the patterns/colors she offers!

Look at how adorable these Patemm pads are!!!

Look how nice and compact they fold up!
I mean, who wouldn't want one of these to take places?! So stylish and easy to carry!

Supply with diapers, fold up and go!
