{Featured Clients} Peace, Love & Flowers - A Very Special 15th Birthday Party!

Happy 15th Birthday Julie! Peace, Love & Flowers...

Paula Rosenthal, Dessert Stylist extraordinaire and owner of Just a Bite Desserts, recently planned for her daughter Julie a 15th birthday party to remember. Julie's nickname is "Sunshine" and Paula and her husband Howard created for Julie and her friends a B.F.F. Photo Shoot Party with the theme of Peace, Love & Flowers.

The location for the party was a no brainer! Julie's father Howard is a professional photographer who specializes in B.F.F. Photo Shoots (check out his website). Julie asked each of her friends to bring three outfits: pajamas, camp shirts (they know each other from summer camp) and jeans with a dressy top. The girls were models for a night and had a blast in the studio dancing to music and posing with props. After the shoot, the girls were treated to dinner, a movie and a sleepover with a special dessert party.

Take #1: The girls in their PJ's

Take #2: Dressy

Paula's peace signs, hearts and flowers themed dessert table drew inspiration from a blog post by Pamela Smerker of Party Starters. We created for Paula some custom printables for the table (the food tents, labels and the birthday banner) which kept everyone feeling groovy! Take a peek:

Paula made for Julie a four layer dark chocolate fondant cake

Doughnuts courtesy of Dough A Deer

Paula's iced sugar cookies

Chocolate covered oreos (Paula, will you please make some more for me?)

Paula's special cake pops

The flower pinata

Each girl brought home her candy from the pinata in these cute keepsake hearts

Julie, Paula & Howard, thank you for sharing with us this extemely unique and fun idea for a birthday party. It certainly had all of the girls jumping for joy!

{Featured Client Parties} A "Sprinkle" Shower

I have been anxiously waiting to post this shower until after the holidays. Our calendar was so booked up with all of our holiday posts/parties/products, and so I'm so excited to share these photos finally.

A great client of ours, Lynne, hosted a fabulous "sprinkle" baby shower. I absolutely love the colors and "feel" of this baby shower. The colors remind me of something you'd see in Restoration Hardware.

When Lynne found Anders Ruff, she had already sent out invitations so she just wanted us to create printable accessories to go along with the theme/scheme.

We incorporated some graphics (different from ones seen on her invitation, but still with the same "feel" and color scheme) and created party logos and a banner for the "sprinkle".
Super cute table!

Adorable place settings...
Cute napkins with a party logo embellishment on the outside.

Cupcake toppers....

Sweet little cupcakes "Sprinkled with Love"...

I love the white chocolate dipped oreos that each guest received! Lynne tied a favor tag to each favor that was personalized with each guest's name on it. I love how she used a party logo around each napkin wrap.
Here is a picture of the hostess, Lynne, and the guest of honor....
Great job, Lynne!

The birthday boy looks amazed by his cake!

{Featured Client Parties} Brady's Airplane Birthday Party

Wow. We were so thrilled to see Jessica's email with photos from her son's 1st Birthday. Jessica is quite the planner. She contacted us back in June/July to help her with all of the graphic work for Brady's 1st Airplane Birthday party. I knew she was going to make it the most special birthday with details that you will be so impressed by...

Today we are featuring her photographs from the party as well as a wonderful writeup by Jessica herself. She put so much effort into the party and had some amazing finds, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to share with our readers.

PS. Jessica's husband is super talented with his woodworking skills and created the cutest cloud cupcake stands and table centerpieces. He sells his services (I am thinking of what I can have him make as we speak!) His contact info is at the bottom of this post.

So... in Jessica's words....we present
Brady's 1st Birthday
In Jessica's words...
We always knew we wanted the theme for our son, Brady’s 1st birthday party to be airplanes. So, once he turned 8 months old the planning began. After finding Anders-Ruff on Etsy and emailing back and forth with Maureen, I knew my vision was going to come to fruition.
And that it did….

The invitation a boarding pass for a fun flight on-board Brady Airways announced the theme. The invitation included Brady’s “Birthday Licenses to Fly”, a magnet, for keepsake. Each envelope was sealed with Brady Airways Headquarters return address label.

Our neighborhood clubhouse was turned into “Rice Hope International Airport” for the event. Red, white and light blue balloons directed guests to the airport. A Rice Hope International Airport banner displayed above the entrance set the scene.

Once inside guests (children) checked-in and received their passports which were stamped “Certifiably Cute” and were given Round the World stickers.

Baggage Claim held gift bags with personalized luggage tags, each contained travel stickers, a compass, rubber band airplane model kit, Fast- Fact book of the 50 states, World Landmark flash cards and an inflatable globe.

Above the Baggage Claim hung a Thank You for Flying Brady Airways banner flanked by 747 airplane balloons.

All guests were encouraged to help themselves at the Food Court, where sandwiches and chips were served.

Tables were set with light blue table clothes, red placemats, light blue napkins wrapped around red silverware held together with a Brady Airways sticker. Centerpieces were adorable clouds with a red biplane attached which my talented husband made. We attached 12 balloons to each centerpiece.

After lunch and gifts were opened it was time for cake! The dessert table was decorated with 2 tier cloud cupcake stands (also made by my husband) cupcake toppers said Happy Birthday Brady circled around a 1. The cake sat a top blue luggage in the middle of the table. Airplane cookies were arranged inside of coordinating luggage. We covered cardboard with cloud paper and attached it to the back of the table for the backdrop. Brady enjoyed the top layer of cake while the rest was sliced for guests.

Posters scattered around the room displayed photos of Brady labeled with the Brady Airways logo.

Thank you postcards were sent to each guest.

The event was more than we could of hope for and I owe most of it to Anders-Ruff for their amazing designs and creativity. I can’t wait to start planning his 2nd birthday party. Maureen, we will be talking soon!

{Free Printable} Happy Birthday Banner

Jenin, the editor and founder of the fabulous and super inspirational party blog, Creative Hostess, contacted us recently about Creative Hostess' 1 year Birthday Celebration. Jenin asked us to sponsor their birthday month celebration by designing a happy birthday banner. We were thrilled because we adore her blog! We immediately got working on the banner to reflect the colors of Creative Hostess. I (Maureen) am obsessed with creating patterns, so I designed this banner with tons of fun, contemporary patterns.

Creative Hostess is hosting a giveaway every day this month to celebrate their birthday month! Check it out!

You can download our FREE green/cherry/aqua banner that is shown in the above photo (that Jenin took!) on this post from the Creative Hostess blog.

We were so inspired after working on the banner that we also designed a more girly version to go with the collection that you can download here: (FOR FREE!)

Here is a little preview of what the "girlie version" banner looks like... (actual download has "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" completely spelled out)

Head on over to Creative Hostess blog to download the aque/green/red version!

We will be sponsoring a giving away of a set of our Happy Halloween Printable Design Collection at Creative Hostess this month, as well! Head on over to enter!

Oh, and we were SO inspired that we came up with some invitations to match the banners! Check them out at our shop! We can design these for any event, age and can change colors, too! We will be adding the aqua/green/red versions shortly as well to match the banner that Creative Hostess asked us to create.

Thanks, Jenin, for giving us the opportunity to design the happy birthday banner for you and your readers!! We hope they enjoy!

Happy Birthday Creative Hostess!
